Glad Tidings

(Continued from Family / Guy)

It’s four days before I hear back from Mutual Friend (henceforth to be referred to as ‘Mutual’), telling me that no, Voldemort did not text to wish her a Happy Christmas.

Magic.

  1. It might be wise to have the following engraved on the back of your phone:

“I won’t telephone him. I’ll never telephone him again as long as I live. He’ll rot in hell, before I’ll call him up. You don’t have to give me strength, God; I have it myself. If he wanted me, he could get me. He knows where I am. He knows I’m waiting here. He’s so sure of me, so sure. I wonder why they hate you, as soon as they are sure of you.”

    Miss Parker was always right…

    • Thanks for the advice, N. I’m tempted to follow it.

To Miss Parker, I say: For the same reason we lose interest in/take for granted so many things as soon as we are sure of them. Human nature has a lot to answer for!

I hope your Christmas was free of phone-related stress!
